Natalie & Dan’s wedding was my first “official” wedding partnering with the amazing Leslie Bost at One Happenings. Natalie was a big sweetheart but both she and Dan were super super busy so I had to take what I could when they had a chance to send emails to create something unique and personalized. I knew that Natalie liked baby’s breath and wanted to play off the Hacienda Cocina & Cantina’s colors with coral and teal as accent colors. The inspiration board bloomed from there. I wanted the ceremony be mostly white with just a “pop” or coral. Something chic, beachy and contemporary. I’m not going to lie, this is one of my favorite curly willow/floral chuppahs I’ve ever created. The matthiola (which was an idea floral from the bride and I FELL IN LOVE with this flower!), the pin cushion mums, the mini roses, roses and amaryllis – just all combined to make it look exactly the way I had in my head. Natalie’s bouquet is one I will never forget – I redid her bouquet FOUR TIMES before I was happy with it and I am happy I did that because I think the end result was very pretty. The ceremony aisle was lined with bunches of baby’s breath (and I learned – it looks simple to do but is not!) and a white runner on top of straw mats completed the beach chic look.
